About Us...
Simpson's hospital provides non-denominational
residential nursing care for older persons. The
Hospital was first opened in 1781. Established
by an Act of Parliament the Trust is governed
by a Board of Trustees who give their time and
expertise freely. The day-to-day management is
carried out by the Matron and Hospital Secretary.
Our staff is drawn almost entirely from the local
area and staff turnover is very low. This enables
us to provide a continuity of care to our residents.
In Simpson's we strive to create a homely, relaxed
and friendly atmosphere for our residents. The
quality of care residents receive is our top priority.
As a not-for-profit organisation any money made
is put back into the home for the benefit of our
residents.
